"I found rare, allocated bourbon at Hilltop close to the original price. In Ohio, where I live, liquor stores are controlled by the state and prohibited from marking up prices above the shelf price. Most all allocated bottles in Georgia are priced at secondary prices. In another liquor store in Ellijay, Blanton's was in stock but priced at $200. They had Daniel Weller 1794 priced at $4,000 which has a shelf price of $500. This however was the only bottle of Daniel Weller I've seen for sale in a liquor store. Weller C.Y.P.B. at $499 which has a shelf price of $60 but is impossible to find for that price. They had Colonel E H Taylor at $249, and Blanton's Single Barrel at $199, but Hilltop had E H Taylor for $89 and Blanton's Single Barrel at $150. The E H Taylor at Hilltop was close to the shelf price in Ohio. The Blanton's was $60 above the shelf price but you can't find it most of the time anywhere. I will be back to visit Hilltop Beverage in Ellijay, GA. every chance I get hoping to find more rare bourbons for my collection.
The staff was very helpful, and the selection was incredible."
"Best prices on allocated bourbons in Ellijay! Helpful and nice guys running the place. Thank you for the "under the counter" Weller today. Felt like I struck gold at your store today. Much better prices than competitors up the road! Will be back!"
